Matt Miller is the Director of Schwartz & Co.’s Investment Banking Group. He has advised public, private and private equity clients on numerous mergers, acquisitions, LBO, and capital raising transactions across a variety of industries. Mr. Miller’s background is comprised of experience in M&A, leveraged finance and direct investing. Mr. Miller is responsible for leading all aspects of advisory and capital markets engagements for the firm’s clients.
Prior to joining Schwartz & Co., Mr. Miller was Vice President at Cowen Company, formerly Quarton International, where he advised clients primarily in sell-side mergers and acquisitions and debt financing transactions. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Miller was in the Leveraged Finance Group at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he advised and arranged debt and equity structures for private equity and corporate clients. He began his career at the Royal Bank of Scotland in the firm’s Special Situations Group, where he invested in distressed debt and equity securities on behalf of the firm.
Mr. Miller received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame, where he was also captain of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. He holds and maintains FINRA licenses Series 7, Series 63 and Series 79. He resides in Birmingham with his wife.
